Diamond Home Publications People Development

Melanoma is a skin cancer of the pigment-producing cells of the skin that afflicts over 68,000 Americans each year, with over 8,500 dying from the disease each year. Our goal is to create a cheap, easy to use software tool called DermShare that will assist primary care physicians (PCPs) in more accurately detecting melanoma. It is a web-based tool, built on the Diamond framework, that can be run on a standard desktop, laptop or tablet in a physician's office. Our goal is to make DermShare easily integrated into the regular patient care workflow of a PCP, thus simplifying its regular use in clinical practice.
